City of Portland Updates Health and Safety Requirements

Newsflash 2022

The City of Portland announced today an update to its safety protocols for events at its indoor facilities. Effective April 1, 2022, proof of vaccination or negative test is no longer required for events at indoor venues, including Merrill Auditorium, the James A. Banks Sr. Portland Exposition Building, and Ocean Gateway. Masking is also no longer required, but still recommended for those who may be at high risk. For those who wish to continue to wear a mask during visits to City venues, we welcome them to continue to do so freely.

Please note: We are still in a transition period with some scheduled performances; some events may require additional health and safety protocols depending on requests from the artist, event organizer, promoter, or league. Please inquire with specific ticket providers, event organizers, promoters, and teams to review any  additional requirements.

The below events, and potentially others, will still require additional health & safety protocols such as proof of vaccination or masking:

The Public Assembly Facilities Division of the Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department for the City of Portland continues to keep the safety of all guests, staff, performers, athletes, vendors, and volunteers the top priority, and we will continue to review and update our guidelines as needed.
