	Wilde Memorial Chapel

Wilde Memorial Chapel, designed by Portland architect Frederick Tompson, was built in 1902. The family of Samuel Wilde, whose wife Mary Ellen Lunt Wilde was a Portland area native, bestowed the cemetery with this granite Gothic chapel. The chapel has interior woodwork of cypress and stained glass windows by the firm of Moakley and Bell of Boston. Some restoration work has been done over the years providing continued use of the chapel for funerals and weddings.

User Information

The chapel holds no more than 105, to include those standing in the ceremony
The bell cannot be rung
All candles must have protective plates, holders, etc. under them to catch drips
No throwing of rice, flower petals, etc. allowed in the chapel

FUNERALS

Year-round use when the burial is taking place in Evergreen.
There is no fee to use the chapel for a funeral service.

WEDDINGS:

The chapel is available for wedding use April 2nd to October 31st only
Wedding times allowed: 3 hours only (to be completed by 5:00 p.m.) - Monday through Saturdays only (no Sunday use)
Rehearsals: 2 hours only (to be completed by 5:00 p.m.) day prior to wedding
Doors open 1 hour before the wedding. A Park Ranger or cemetery staff will open and close the side door.

Fees:
Resident - $400.00
Nonresident - $500.00

$50.00 deposit is required to hold the date
Balance due 30 days prior to wedding ceremony
These fees are for weddings only - there is no fee for a funeral service
