Peaks Island Punch Pass Program
Beginning July 9, 2001, the Peaks Island Transfer Station will be open for
residents to discard their bulky items. You should have received a letter
from Portland Public Works with a new punch pass enclosed like the one below.

Peaks Island residents will also have a Curbside Bulky Item Collection Program
that will run the week of September 9 where residents can place a limited
number of items out at curbside for pick-up. This program will be different
from the heavy item pick-ups of the past in that there will be a limit to
the types of items and the quantity that can be placed at curbside. Look
for additional details in the next few weeks.
For general questions about the Peaks Island Transfer Station, please call
766-2423. If you have a questions about new pass program, please call our
Recycling Hotline at 756-8189 or email us.
