The Department of Public Services Trash and Recycling crews will not be collecting trash or recycling in the City of Portland on Columbus Day, Monday, October 13, 2008. Residents who normally place their material out for collection on Monday should instead place it out on Saturday, October 11, 2008. More

Directions to Public Works

Portland Public Services is located at 55 Portland Street next to the Back Bay Grill Restaurant.

From 295 traveling south, take exit 6B heading in town on Forest Avenue.

From Forest Avenue as you head toward the downtown area, take a left at the intersection by the Federal Post Office Building (this is Portland Street). Deering Oaks park will be on your right.

Travel approximately 2/10 of a mile on Portland Street. Public Services is a brick building on the left.
