Congratulations, Clare!!

Join us in congratulating our very own Clare Norton, our Parks, Recreation and Facilities Booking Coordinator, on winning the annual Bob Ganley Public Service Award1 The Ganley award is given each year to one City employee (out of 1,400 total) who best exemplifies the dedication, knowledge, and passion for municipal public which characterized former City Manager Robert Ganley's life. Clare works in our Department to permit all events on public property, including races of all kinds, festivals, concerts, weddings, shows at Merrill Auditorium, and first amendment events such as rallies, marches, and protests. She coordinates between all City Departments to ensure that event organizers and citizens are supported in having safe and well-run events. Her spirit of cooperation and sunny attitude make her effective in her position, and we couldn't be more proud of her in receiving this recognition.
