[ARCHIVED] Portland Makes the Switch to Biodegradable Doggy Waste Bags

New Biodegradable Doggy Waste Bags

The City of Portland’s Parks and Recreation Department has switched to all biodegradable doggy waste bags in Portland Parks. We have five dog bag stations throughout Portland, located in: Baxter Woods, Valley Street Dog Park, Quarry Run Dog Park, East End Beach, and Capisic Pond Park. The city will continue to provide the old bags alongside the new, eco-friendly bags until the city’s supply of old bags runs out. The new bags are from an eco-friendly company called "The Original Poop Bags;” the company prides themselves in making dog bags that are biodegradable and sustainable.
