[ARCHIVED] State Street Paving Work Set for July 18

On Thursday, July 18, 2019, the City’s contractor, Crooker Paving, will be working on State Street between Park Avenue and Cumberland Avenue to address pavement warranty items related to the State Street Infrastructure project.  The contractor will be milling and paving at various locations on State Street.  

IMPORTANT INFO FOR MOTORISTS: Work within State Street will be limited from 9am to 3:30pm.  Motorists should expect delays and portions of the roadway to be reduced to one lane during this time period.   

Work on local side streets will begin at 7am.  There will be no lane restrictions on State Street during the morning commuting hours.  The contractor will be required to have two lanes of traffic open by 3:30pm for the evening commute.    

The contractor will be working within this zone between 7:00am to 3:30pm.  

IMPORTANT INFO FOR PEDESTRIANS:  The contractor will be milling and paving around sidewalks and pedestrian ramps.  Please use caution walking through the area.  

SEEK ALTERNATE ROUTE, IF POSSIBLE, TO AVOID DELAYS

Motorists are urged, if possible, to seek alternate routes into and around this area for the day.
