[ARCHIVED] 910 Riverside Street - New Development Review Project

To residents and property owners: Portland's Department of Public Works has submitted a Level 1 Site Alteration site plan application to renovate an existing stormwater runoff pond at the City's Riverside Recycling Facility located at 910 Riverside Street. The facility will be upgraded to meet Maine DEP Chapter 500 stormwater law standards.  Improvements include, but not limited to, permanent water quality volume, quantity control for up to a 25-year storm, mean depth, channel protection, clay liner, pond valve, and emergency spillway and berm. The site plan is subject to review under Portland's site plan standards.  In accordance with the Portland Land Use Ordinance, notices of receipt of a Level I Site Alteration application must be sent to property owners located within 500 ft. of the subject property (or 1,000 ft. if the project is a subdivision or map amendment for a site located within an Industrial Zone). This application will be reviewed administratively by City Staff. This is the only notice you will receive.  A project and plan summary is available for viewing on the Citizen Self Service Portal (https://egweb.portlandmaine.gov/energovprod/selfservice), by referencing Plan Number PL-000553-2019. Written comments should be submitted to planningboard@portlandmaine.gov. If you have any questions regarding the proposal, please contact Andrew Tufts, Planner, by phone at 207-874-8984 or e-mail at atufts@portlandmaine.gov.
